On January 6, 2016, Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 3810 Cedar Lake Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Randall Jones, a 46-year-old white male, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Randall "Randy" Parker Jones Sr. was born on August 25, 1969, in Corsicana, Texas, to Randall B. and Patsy Jones. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from the San Marcos Military Academy in 1987.
Throughout his youth, Randy was active in various organizations, including the Boy Scouts, the Ennis High School Band, the Civil Air Patrol, and a local soccer team. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ennis. At the time of his passing, he was survived by his sons, Randall P. Jones Jr. and Jackson L. Jones; his mother, Patsy Jones-Hord, and her husband, Ed; two brothers, Patrick William Jones and Jared McCain Jones; one sister, J’Layna Betik; and several nieces and nephews.
As of now, the investigation into the death of Randall Jones remains unsolved. The Dallas Police Department has not announced any arrests or identified any suspects related to this case. Authorities continue to seek information from the public to aid in solving this homicide.
