In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in New Orleans, the life of Arturo Armenta Jr., a 23-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically cut short. On June 19, 2013, at approximately 11:00 p.m., police responded to a call in the Hollygrove neighborhood. There, in the 3900 block of General Ogden Street, they discovered Armenta with a fatal gunshot wound to his neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
