In May of 1894, a grim discovery shattered the peace of Linn County, Missouri, forever etching the name of Gus Meeks into the annals of local history. The 33-year-old man, his wife Delora, 30, and their two young daughters, Hattie, 4, and Mary, 18 months, were found murdered, their bodies concealed under a straw stack on a farm belonging to George Taylor.
