On July 24, 2021, authorities in Osage County, Missouri, were called to a residence on Muddy Water Lane, situated north of Linn, after family members discovered two unresponsive individuals in the front yard. Upon arrival, deputies found the bodies of 59-year-old Leonard Gerloff, a male, and his wife, 56-year-old Pauline Gerloff.
