On August 8, 2024, at approximately 10:57 p.m., Killeen Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire and a man down in the 100 block of East Hallmark Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 39-year-old William Donnell Spellman lying in a parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Justice of the Peace Nicola James pronounced him deceased at 11:08 p.m.
