On December 21, 2022, 18-year-old Arreon Hughes from Killeen, Texas, tragically died from injuries sustained in a shooting incident. The incident occurred on December 17, 2022, when Hughes and another man were shot while riding in a vehicle in the 500 block of Lisa Lane. The vehicle crashed into a fence, and both Hughes and the other victim were found with gunshot wounds. Hughes was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital via helicopter, where he succumbed to his injuries.
