On November 9, 2022, Abkhir Abdel AJ Neville, a 21-year-old man from Killeen, Texas, was fatally shot in the 200 block of East Bryce Avenue. Responding to a call around 9:45 p.m., officers found Neville suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics performed life-saving measures before transporting him to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition. Unfortunately, Neville succumbed to his injuries shortly before 11:30 p.m. This incident marked Killeen's 17th homicide of the year.
