On November 9, 2022, Abkhir Abdel AJ Neville, a 21-year-old man from Killeen, Texas, was fatally shot in the 200 block of East Bryce Avenue. Responding to a call around 9:45 p.m., officers found Neville suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics performed life-saving measures before transporting him to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition. Unfortunately, Neville succumbed to his injuries shortly before 11:30 p.m. This incident marked Killeen's 17th homicide of the year.
Killeen police have been actively investigating the case, but as of now, no arrests have been made. The authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers at 526-TIPS or visit their website. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the P3Tips App for IOS or Android. If a tip leads to an arrest, the informant may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 in cash.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the Killeen Police Department continues to seek justice for Neville's death. The community is hopeful that new information will lead to the identification and apprehension of those responsible for this tragic event.
