On June 14, 2020, Shareef Raekwon Alibarnett, a 24-year-old man from Killeen, Texas, was tragically shot and killed during a robbery. Alibarnett was found lying at the intersection of Florence Road and Evergreen Drive with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation revealed that Alibarnett was targeted by two women, 24-year-old Breez Breann Collier of Harker Heights and 18-year-old Jessica Helen Hampton of Killeen, who planned to rob him.
The case took a
significant turn when forensic evidence and surveillance video pointed to Collier and Hampton as the perpetrators. Both women were arrested and charged with murder on June 21, 2020. They were arraigned by Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin, who set their bail at $1,000,000 each. Additionally, a 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with capital murder in connection with the crime. The juvenile was taken into custody and is currently in the Bell County Juvenile Detention Center.
