Cleveland Jermaine "CJ" Lewis, a 33-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on August 4, 2018, in Killeen, Texas. CJ was known as a family man, a soldier, and a jokester. He was a Purple Heart recipient and had three children with his wife of 13 years, Irene Lewis. The couple's youngest child was only two months old at the time of CJ's death.
CJ was gunned down in the early hours of the morning in the 4500 block of Alan Kent Drive.
