Cleveland Jermaine "CJ" Lewis, a 33-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on August 4, 2018, in Killeen, Texas. CJ was known as a family man, a soldier, and a jokester. He was a Purple Heart recipient and had three children with his wife of 13 years, Irene Lewis. The couple's youngest child was only two months old at the time of CJ's death.
