On the night of July 31, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Killeen police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 900 block of Adams Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 51-year-old Jesse Miles suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately administered life-saving measures until paramedics arrived.
