On the night of July 31, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Killeen police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 900 block of Adams Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 51-year-old Jesse Miles suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately administered life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. Miles was then transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Community Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced him deceased at 12:29 a ...
