On September 23, 2023, at approximately 5:20 a.m., 26-year-old Kelvin "KJ" Stowers Jr. was found fatally shot in the 3900 block of Keeley Drive in South Nashville. Investigations revealed that Stowers had been inside a Nissan Rogue SUV when he was shot by 28-year-old David Henry. After the shooting, Henry allegedly pushed Stowers out of the vehicle, leaving him on the roadway, and then drove off.
