In a South Nashville alley on August 26, 2024, the life of 41-year-old Christopher Walter, a White male, was tragically cut short. Witnesses in the vicinity of Hart Street and Creek Street reported hearing a single gunshot and then seeing a man hastily fleeing the scene on a moped. First responders arrived to find Walter with a gunshot wound to his torso. Despite their efforts to administer CPR, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
