On July 21, 2023, at approximately 9:29 a.m., Philadelphia police responded to a shooting incident in the 6300 block of Vine Street in the Overbrook neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Michael Gillian suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:40 a.m.
