In St. Louis, Missouri, on May 1, 2007, the body of 47-year-old Shelby Polk Jr. was discovered lying next to a fence at the Biker's Corner on North Market Street. An investigation revealed he had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest, which appeared to have been inflicted at close range. Despite the efforts of law enforcement, no suspects were immediately identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with his murder.
