On May 21, 2025, inside a small grocery on the 5400 block of Race Street in West Philadelphia, two teenagers were shot just after 2 p.m. One of them, Seth Marshall, 15, was pronounced dead at 2:22 p.m., while a 16-year-old was rushed to Lankenau Medical Center in critical condition.
Police said the scene was contained to the store and that there were witnesses and surveillance footage documenting what happened.
Later that day, investigators confirmed they had someone in custody.
