In the Logan neighborhood of Philadelphia, what began as a routine Thursday morning for Desmond Edwards, a 37-year-old husband and father of four, ended in a sudden and violent tragedy. On January 4, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Edwards was driving his black SUV near the intersection of Bellefield and Olney Avenues when he was fatally shot in the head. The impact of the shooting caused his vehicle to crash into a nearby restaurant.
