On October 14, 2019, Micah Smith, a 34-year-old Black male, was found lying in the street on the 8000 block of Ogontz Avenue in Philadelphia, PA, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was quickly transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries that evening. The Philadelphia Police Department responded to the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
