In the small town of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, the night of June 18, 2023, was shattered by a violent act that ended the life of Melissa Powell, a Caucasian female. The events unfolded just before midnight on South Louisiana Street, where a domestic dispute inside a car escalated with tragic finality. During the altercation, Ronnie L. Bryant fatally shot Powell in the neck.
