Karen Matthews, a 25-year-old African American woman, tragically passed away on January 8, 2010, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the beloved daughter of Evola Matthews and the late Herbert Simms, and the stepdaughter of Fernando Butler. Karen was also the devoted mother of Kaytrell and Kavon Matthews, and the sister of Elegra, Trishekka, Juanique, Janel, Rieal, Herbert, Damien, and the late Theal.
