Hasahn Shawl, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on July 21, 2016, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred when Tyrance Chancellor, 36, and his 15-year-old nephew, Jaquin Thomas, broke into an apartment where Shawl was present. The motive behind the break-in was linked to a romantic entanglement, as both Chancellor and Shawl were involved with the same woman living in the apartment.
