Police Officer Thomas Arthur Gordon, aged 26, tragically died on April 9, 1908, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Officer Gordon was a member of the Philadelphia Police Department and had served for two years. His death was the result of an accidental discharge of a firearm. He was examining firearms in a store on South Street, near 2nd Street, when the wife of the gunsmith who owned the store picked up his revolver from the counter, and it discharged, fatally wounding him.
