On the evening of October 8, 2024, at approximately 9:57 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of gunfire on the 800 block of Lex Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Kahli Thomas lying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Thomas was immediately transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was admitted in critical condition. Despite the medical team's efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on October 9, 2024.
