Shawn Dontell Brown, a 31-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 25, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side. According to reports, Shawn was shot multiple times in the 3800 block of West Thomas Street. The shooting took place around 1:20 p.m. when a car drove up, and someone inside began firing at him. Despite being rushed to Stroger Hospital, Shawn was pronounced dead at 8:20 p.m. that evening.
