Breyon K. Cowans, aged 24, was tragically shot and killed on May 14, 2017, in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood. The incident occurred as Breyon and his friend Deshawn Johnson, aged 23, were waiting at a red light in their car. While they were stopped, another vehicle—a black Chevrolet—pulled up beside them, and someone inside opened fire, killing both men instantly.
