On January 18, 2022, at approximately 6:48 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a call at a mini-mart located on the 2100 block of 72nd Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Black male, Alexander Gaddy Jr., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Born on July 29, 1991, Alexander Gaddy Jr. was a resident of West Nedro Avenue in Philadelphia.
He was remembered by family and friends, who held a viewing and Janazah prayer service on January 22, 2022, at the Lenwood Jones Funeral Home, followed by interment at Chelten Hills Cemetery.
As of now, there have been no reports of arrests or identification of suspects related to the homicide of 30-year-old Black male, Alexander Gaddy Jr. The case remains unsolved, and authorities continue to seek information from the public to aid in their investigation.
