On March 11, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., 26-year-old Robert Wimberly was fatally shot in West Philadelphia. Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 5100 block of Haverford Avenue, where they discovered Wimberly suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his back. He was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead around 9 p.m.
