On July 7, 2014, Dyia Alexis, a 24-year-old man, was found shot in the 1600 block of North Wilton Street in Philadelphia. At approximately 10:13 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers discovered Alexis inside a 2000 Mazda MPV minivan. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was in critical condition. Emergency responders rushed him to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, but unfortunately, Alexis succumbed to his injuries later that night.
