Dyia Alexis, a 24-year-old Black male from Philadelphia, was killed on Monday, July 7, 2014, in the 1600 block of North Wilton Street. That night, at about 10:13 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers were called to the block and found him inside a 2000 Mazda MPV minivan. He had been shot multiple times.

The shooting left Dyia critically wounded, and he was taken from the scene to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Despite being transported for emergency care, he died later that night. Reco ...
