Death by Force

On the night of July 4, 2024, 19-year-old Maurice White was fatally shot during a mass shooting in Southwest Philadelphia. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of 60th Street and Kingsessing Avenue, where a "pop-up" party was taking place. A vehicle approached the gathering, and an individual inside opened fire on the crowd, resulting in nine people being shot. White sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
