In the early moments of a cold Monday morning, the quiet of a Philadelphia neighborhood was shattered by violence. On February 8, 2021, inside a residence on the 500 block of West Hill Creek Drive, 24-year-old Steven Williams, a Black male, was found shot multiple times. Responding to a call just before 1 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers discovered a tragic scene within a bedroom of the home.
Lying on the bed, Steven had succumbed to his injuries.
On the floor nearby was his longtime girlfriend, 23-year-old Jehesel Garcia Colon, who had also been fatally shot. Tragically, the couple's five-year-old son was present in the room when the horrific events unfolded but was physically unharmed. Paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that both Steven and Jehesel had died from their wounds.
The investigation into the double homicide has been ongoing, but as of now, no arrests have been made in the case. Detectives continue to seek information from the public that might lead to a breakthrough in solving the brutal killings of the young couple.
