On the evening of Monday, December 11, 2023, tragedy struck in North Philadelphia when 31-year-old Terrence Lamar Crowder was fatally shot in the entryway of his residence. The incident occurred at approximately 5:56 p.m. on the 1000 block of West Ontario Street. Philadelphia Police officers responded to the scene and found Crowder at the threshold of a property, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to investigators, it is believed that the assailant knocked on the door of
Crowder's duplex. When Crowder responded, he was shot in the neck, chest, and arm. Despite the swift response from emergency services, his injuries proved to be fatal.
