Death by Force

On June 9, 2023, at approximately 11:16 p.m., 35-year-old Shawn Manning was fatally shot in Southwest Philadelphia. Police responded to reports of gunfire on the 5700 block of Elmwood Avenue, where they discovered Manning lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds, including to his head and body. He was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and pronounced dead at 11:27 p.m.
