On January 10, 2023, at approximately 9:33 p.m., 36-year-old Brooklyn resident Philson Andrews was fatally shot outside Fun City Seafood, located at the intersection of East 56th Street and Church Avenue in East Flatbush. Responding officers from the 67th Precinct found Andrews with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and right arm. He was transported to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
