In the spring of 2014, a tragic event unfolded on a street in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, forever altering the lives of a local family. On the afternoon of April 26th, 16-year-old Michael Moore, a male student at Edward R. Murrow High School, was fatally shot in broad daylight. The teenager, who was of Guyanese ethnicity and had aspirations of joining the U.S. Army, was a resident of the neighborhood where the unfortunate incident occurred.
