Jorge Vasquez, a 26-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, tragically lost his life on March 5, 2019. The incident occurred late at night when Vasquez was a passenger in an Uber vehicle. As the car was traveling through the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, a man on a bicycle approached the vehicle and opened fire. Vasquez was struck multiple times in the neck and chest. Despite the efforts of emergency medical services, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Brooklyn Hospital.
