On April 15, 2024, at approximately 3:18 a.m., 26-year-old Jaquill Monroe was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso in the hallway of an apartment building located at 1102 Longfellow Avenue in the Longwood neighborhood of the Bronx. Responding officers from the 41st Precinct found Monroe in critical condition; he was promptly transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
