On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 9, 2021, the life of Jadon Robinson, a 30-year-old Black man, was cut short in his home borough of the Bronx. At approximately 3:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call and found Robinson unconscious in front of 1268 Morrison Avenue in the Soundview neighborhood. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders rushed him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.
The New York City Police Department launched an
investigation into the brazen daylight shooting. As the inquiry progressed, it drew the attention of federal authorities who uncovered connections to organized criminal activity in the borough.
The investigation led to Alieu Jarjou, a Bronx resident also known by the aliases "Scally" and "Lu Scally." Federal prosecutors identified Jarjou as a member of the "Rollin 20s," a subset of the Crips gang. An indictment alleged that from at least January 2021, Jarjou and other members of the gang engaged in crimes including murder and drug trafficking to fund their operations and protect their territory. Authorities stated that Jarjou murdered Robinson to elevate his position within the violent street gang.
Jarjou was federally charged with murder in aid of racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, and a firearms offense. He was already in city custody on other matters when the indictment was unsealed and was transferred to federal custody. The case was assigned to U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos in Manhattan. In April 2026, Alieu Jarjou pleaded guilty before Judge Ramos to his criminal activities as a member of the Rollin 20s Crips, including the murder of Jadon Robinson.
