In the spring of 2019, the life of 32-year-old Jhameer Cameron was brought to a violent and tragic end inside his Bronx apartment building. On the afternoon of May 2nd, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the sounds of gunfire echoed through the halls of the residence on Hoe Avenue near Freeman Street in the Foxhurst neighborhood. When authorities arrived, they discovered Cameron had been shot multiple times, sustaining wounds to his head and torso. He was rushed to St.
Barnabas Hospital, but the severity of his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

Reynaldo Peguero, a 28-year-old resident, was taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting.
