On Friday, July 31st, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Wilson was in the Soundview section of the borough when he was fatally shot. He was found unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his torso in front of 1741 Randall Avenue. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and quickly transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, but his life could not be saved, and he was pronounced
deceased.

The individual was described as a male with a thin build, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants with a white stripe down the side, black sneakers, and a white face mask.
