In the Bronx, a Sunday evening near Bill Rainey Park turned tragic when 27-year-old Gabriel Ramirez Gomez was fatally shot. The incident, which occurred on May 15, 2022, also resulted in a 43-year-old woman suffering a graze wound from a bullet.

The shooting took place before 8 p.m. near the vicinity of Rogers Place and Dawson Street. According to police reports, Gabriel Ramirez Gomez was struck in the chest by gunfire and was pronounced dead. The female victim was treated for her non-lif ...
