On what should have been a day of celebration, his fourteenth wedding anniversary, 35-year-old Obed Beltran-Sanchez, a father of two from Mexico, found his life cut tragically short. On the evening of February 12, 2024, he was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire of a violent dispute at the Mount Eden subway station in the Bronx.
