DonLee Williams, 61, a Black man from New Orleans, Louisiana, was killed after a late-night gathering in the city’s Lower Ninth Ward turned violent. In the early hours around 3:30 a.m., police were called to a home in the 1300 block of Deslonde Street for a shooting that had erupted inside the residence, interrupting what had been a house party only moments earlier.
Investigators described an argument and fight breaking out between guests, with the dispute narrowing to Williams and another man.
