John Martinez, a 27-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. Born in the Dominican Republic, Martinez, also known in the drill rap scene as Suave Drilly, was leaving a parole office near the corner of Alexander Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard when the attack occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m. Three assailants wearing ski masks reportedly approached him and opened fire, striking him multiple times in the chest.
