Death by Force

John Martinez, a 27-year-old Black/African American male, better known in the Bronx drill scene as Suave Drilly, was gunned down in Mott Haven on October 15, 2025. He had just stepped out of the New York State Division of Parole office at 79 Alexander Avenue near Bruckner Boulevard when the shooting erupted just before 6 p.m., sending people on the busy corner scattering. First responders rushed him to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
