In an August incident in Syracuse, New York, a young man lost his life in a shooting. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Matthew Freeman. The Syracuse Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on South Salina Street, where they found Freeman with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and shoulder. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
