In the evening hours of March 20, 2024, a dispute on Court Street in Syracuse, New York, ended in tragedy. Andre L. Marshall, a 35-year-old Black man, was involved in an altercation when a firearm he was carrying discharged. The single gunshot struck him in the groin, causing a fatal wound.
