On October 7, 2024, 18-year-old Devin Michael Barstow from Greece, New York, was fatally shot in Rochester. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the rear parking lot of Charles T. Lunsford School No. 19 on Seward Street. Despite being shot multiple times, Barstow managed to flee approximately 200 yards to the porch of a vacant house on Flint Street, where he succumbed to his injuries. His body remained undiscovered for about two hours until a passerby found him and alerted authorities.
