On May 15, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m., 34-year-old Cassandra Cole was fatally shot in the parking lot of Uptown Market, located at 100 Shepley Drive in St. Louis County, Missouri. According to surveillance footage, a dark-colored vehicle traveling west on Shepley Drive fired multiple rifle rounds into a crowd gathered outside the market. Several individuals in the crowd returned fire, and all parties fled the scene before police arrived.
