Black African American Destiny Davenport was a 21-year-old woman residing in St. Louis, Missouri, whose life was abruptly ended by violence in the spring of 2021. On April 11, 2021, officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call regarding a shooting in the Gravois Park neighborhood. Upon arriving at the scene in the 3600 block of Virginia Avenue, first responders discovered Davenport suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was urgently transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, but she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival.
