In the spring of 2021, the life of 34-year-old Diesha Boyd, a mother of seven, was tragically cut short in a brazen shooting on the streets of St. Louis, Missouri. On the evening of April 15th, Boyd had just left her job at a local daycare. She was driving a van belonging to the center, with her three daughters and two other teenagers as passengers. As she drove along Goodfellow Boulevard, an unknown assailant opened fire on the vehicle, striking Boyd multiple times.
