In the summer of 2023, a tragedy unfolded on the streets of St. Louis that cut short the life of Ametta Powell, a 30-year-old woman. On the evening of Thursday, August 3rd, police were called to the Mark Twain I-70 Industrial neighborhood, where they made a grim discovery. Powell was found with a gunshot wound to her head, a fatal injury that would soon claim her life after she was rushed to a nearby hospital.
