On May 22, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri, 38-year-old Keyion Brown was fatally shot in a double shooting incident. The Kansas City Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near East 39th Street and Montgall Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds: one at East 39th Street and South Benton Avenue, and another at East 39th Street and Chestnut Avenue.
